WHAT IS A SECOND OPINION FOR?

When might you consider a second opinion exam?
  • Your doctors can't agree on the exact diagnosis or pose multiple diagnoses. You feel the uncertainty, discomfort of not knowing and still feeling terrible, and, frankly, you don't know where to turn or what even what is best for you?
  • You've spent thousands of dollars on your health and mental health care, and, for a time, feel better with each new treatment, but then there is a return of symptoms or the you just still feel lousy.
What is a diagnostic puzzle?
  • To me, this is a more difficult issue.
  • You may need to see me in person for an examination, both physically, neurologically, and for neuro-psychological testing.
  • I also can stay in contact with you through secure teleconferencing and be with you and your family every step of the way. I make myself available to help in the way that works for you.
  • For US patients, you may need tests done at a major medical center that has a medical school (I have contacts in Colorado, on both coasts (Philadelphia, New York, Boston, LA, San Francisco); in the Midwest (at Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic); in the South (Mayo Clinic Florida): and Southwest (Mayo Arizona and Barrow)
  • For foreign patients, I have contacts in London and Switzerland.
  • I can help you arrange for testing at these high quality medical care facilities and then advise, coordinate, and help your local doctors give you the best health and mental health care possible.
